Thats about 31 MILLION dollars leeched out of the world for bunk software. Version 2.0 should be free for the people that paid for FFXIV over a year ago.

I have been here since closed beta and I am done. I was under the impression that Yoshi was going to turn THIS game around before asking for money not charge me subscription, scrap it, and sell me another. What a money grab.

also something else to think about

if they do charge its cuz its an expansion(may or may not be the case i dont think theyve stated cost for 2.0 if there is one at all)
every other game on the market charges for expansions, why would this be any different?

remember, 2.0 isnt the end, there will eventualy be 3.0, 4.0 and so on down the road too

Why should we pay them to fix their broken software. It is analogous to a car salesman selling you a lemon and then having the audacity of telling you that he will fix it but it will cost you payments over the next year.

Keep in mind this "car" cost all of us 10's of MILLIONS of dollars collectively. For such a high dollar product they should be fixing it themselves on their own dollar. Also they should give the 31 million back. What a scam. Does this not ERK anyone else. WE WERE HOSED! WE TRUSTED THEIR PRODUCT AND THEY ARE STILL LEECHING MONEY INTO THEIR HUGE BANK ACCOUNTS! IS THAT BETTER!

Well, they are not going to give me my money back and this game is STILL broken. I paid for it over a year ago. The least I can do is attempt to punch them in the money belt before I split. lol

It really is quite the scam, The more I think about it, the more unjust it all seems. Send more money if you want, but I am not about.

I realize it's a lot, but people really need to take the time to read ALL of the 2.0 info SE posted. It'd sure prevent a lot of these freak-out threads, lol.

i never heard of an MMORPG before that offers totally free to play (not even cash shop) after a year!!!you can be even happy that they offered that. its ridiculous to complain about that after THAT long freetime.

there were some MMorpgs that offered freetime play for 1 month or so... if it wasnt that good it supposed to be.. but 1 year???

and then its hard to start with the p2p concept again.... looking at people like you.
thats gross, really.. what do you want? lifetime f2p?

it was the biggest compromise and present that a publisher ever made in MMO history i think. and you complain about this really? if you dont want to play FFXIV in the world like it is now, then dont do it.. im also thinking about this... but you really shouldnt complain.

there were games like Age Of Conan and so on, that really had MUCH more bugs and so on.
i mean they revamp the whole game now till next year... the biggest step in an MMOrpg development ever.

AND... (to your opening post) they'll offer the free download for the totally new 2.0. game client in the future. Yoshidas statement claimed that.

its not often (well in the internet it is) to read so much ignorance in one post like your first one.
its really unfair to the current (NEW!) dev team, they work their asses off right now to implement many suggestions of the community.

Well with yoshida, FFXIV now has a better producer than before, thats for sure. he knows how to drive FF14 into the right direction.

SE give us chocobos dammit. This is ridiculous! We should be able to ride chocobos in this game, it is called Final Fantasy. What a crock. Also, I want to Lancer to be a class. We should be able to level Lancer if we want. Oh, oh and this game should have marmots. I mean, really! We need marmots in the game! SCREW YOU SE!!!!
