Yes, it is very much against the rules. There's a specific clause in the ToS that says you must not use hardware macros or the abilities of hardware to interfere with how the game works, this hack does just that.So I need a mouse with a macro built in? Darn >_< I thought it was something I could set up in my keybind or something..
Edit:
Is it actually against the rules to use since its something that come with most Common Gaming Mice? If it is has SE done anything to ban these players? I'm so confused at the situation.

I did a bit of research today and found out that there is indeed a 3rd party Speed hack program being used. (I actually found the program name and where to download it...)
According to the website where its from its been around since 2013.
As far as Speeding your character up it seems the setting on this particular program is "up, down, normal, sprint, max", I'm not sure How they use it but just from reading the information on the site I can get get an idea.
I plan to report this in game to the GMs with the website's link and program name so they can take a look. I hope this issue is fixed by SE soon before the seasons start.
EDIT:
Added a picture of what the program itself looks like, program name removed from the image:

On Aether we already have an issue with top players/fc's abusing speed hacks and other cheats to quickly rise ranks and remain immune to effects such as heavy. Even when applied they're not slowed. It's absolutely disgusting to see in matches. Just remember to report and let the GMs handle it when you see it! They've been pretty on top of tickets lately, and with limited rewards in this scenario, it's necessary, otherwise fair players have little reason to even compete.

There are top players using speed hacks? Guess they're not top players then, just top cheaters. If any of them stream we should spam their chat or something. And if they are on your server blacklist them so they can never join your party finders, undercut them rediculously on market boards, kick them from link shells, and just generally be annoying. :P Oh and report them I guess, but that's boring

Ugh, why do people do such lame things? What's the point of winning if you didn't truly earn it...
PLD - PvE Main, SMN - PvP Main.

Yes, many of the cheaters claim "XX Firsts" too, where XX is World, Data Center or Server. They're brazen about it too, even SE have published congratulations to these groups & embedded their videos which show the use of third party software. Regular players can do little, other than keep reporting them, as they are the Mafia of their respective servers & control the markets. No, this isn't paranoia or "salt" it's fact. There are top players using speed hacks? Guess they're not top players then, just top cheaters.
