How many only main one job?

Currently I've still only got Monk to 60 as far as battle classes. I'll eventually get SCH and WHM to 60 and SCH will be prioritized above WHM.

If you're having trouble picking a main.. Well.. Try to ask yourself what playstyle you want.


Do you wanna be supportive/not supportive? Single target/AOE? mitigating/reactive heals? buffing? defensive/offensive? melee/ranged? caster/physical?


There's gotta be something you learn towards.

I main as WHM as I feel as if I got the situation more under control. I'm so used to it that when I go on my 60 MNK that I am a bit nervous about the other healer(s). I guess it's a trust thing.

So yeah, I'm pretty much gonna stick to that forever probably.

Scholar "main"here. I use the top tier gear for my healers. Then the second grade down from that for my bard, and then i play a casual tank and just use dungeon stuff for that.
I pretty much play whatever i feel like at the moment.

I main NIN overall, but would meddle with PLD/DRK as an alternative. When looking for a raid group, I have no issues being PLD/DRK main in that group while still using NIN for everything else.

Lately, I've been on DRK more than PLD. Only thing that kills from playing DRK over PLD full time is Sephiroth Ex. Basically, if I'm MT'ing as DRK against Sephirot, and we're not at the 65% mark by the time none of my three defensive CDs are up (Foresight, Shadowskin, Shadow Wall), I usually die during or right after the 4th tank buster in Phase 1. As PLD, I have Foresight, Rampart, Sentinel, Sheltron, and Bulwark to survive the 4th Tank Buster and beyond.

I tried to look up text-based strats for phase 1 for DRK on Sephirot but haven't found anything outside of guides simply saying to pop a CD each time. So, if anyone knows a text-based guide for phase 1 tank busters for DRK on what to do for the 4th tank buster, please link me to it.

Like with most things, if you're in a dedicated static and doing progression, you should focus on one, if you're not doing progression, it doesn't matter at all.

SCH/Other healer for some new content, SMN/BLM for seal rock, MNK for feast, PLD/WAR for roulette bonus.

BRD and DRK that's it for me. This game makes it very hard to gear multiple classes, would like to grab a healer, that way I have all 3 classes covered but given how much ESO is needed for relic weapons, I think it'll be awhile before I jump into that.

I've only ever had the time/ patience/ attention span for one primary combat class. Currently that's BLM for me, though MNK is sort of geared up (maybe 208). Similarly I have a primary gathering class (MIN), and usually have a primary crafting class, though I'm a bit behind on that stuff and currently only have WVR at 60, with GSM and LTW coming up. Crafting's a bit more difficult to 'specialize' in, ironically.

I use lore for my DRK and my sub class is SMN which holds my Midas gear. My NIN holds any leftover Midas gear
