Yet she has spent lore on hellfire tanking gear (4-5 weeks worth it looks like) but still.runs gordias gear with it as well. But she has the achievement for clearing A8 normal 10 times almost a month ago, so maybe it's best not to judge someone's experience based on the job currently shown on lodestone. I don't have any midas NM gear on my tanks either. She might have chosen to use those tokens on other jobs, being that she has everything at 60, or maybe she quit running it beyond A8 after failing to win a token 30 times in a row. Not everyone has friends or gil for the crafted stuff either.
Yup. Some people like to gear up more than one thing at once even though this game punishes you for wanting to actually take advantage of the armory system. :P Regardless, her lack of midas gear is irrelevant to the topic. A raider might comment on how you don't have any savage gear yet, but it has nothing to do with concerns over the progression system in this game either. A quick glance at the last couple of pages of GD threads shows that she's not alone in that concern either.
There are many possibilities for more interesting progression than having either raids or tomestone farming. I would love to see 4-man content that is more difficult than dungeons but not quite on savage level. Unfortunately, they couldn't keep up with 3 expert dungeons at the current patch pace, so I'm not holding my breath for a variety of content either. And please don't mention Diadem. >_> I hope they improve it, but it's so bad in its current form.

It matters because she referanced running alex in her post and also getting kicked from groups due to lack of gear. Also.I am well aware that multiple classes/roles.can be geared at once, I currently have tank/heals/nin geared. Plus she stated she had only been leveling roles and doing daily ex roulette, but she has made other false statements and exagerations in this thread.Yup. Sure someone could make comments about my lack of savage gear, but that would probably make more sense if I were the one not only making false claims about it's value, but how to get it... she is the one doing that, and complaining that she was able to gear up a role while leveling at that.
She is also using min ilvl as some kind of criteria for tomes dropping, as if thats valid, yet ignores it for all the other roulettes. Her arguement is all over the road.
I can agree that the tome system is a pretty lame treadmill, however it does have a reason for being there, and using falsehoods and half truths to whine about it is just well, whiny and lame. If what she said was the truth, she would have a valid argument, but it is all half-truths. Whats funny is ther is already valid arguements for making the new dungeons more difficult and about the flaws of the tome system, yet she had to make up a bunch of stuff and manipulate words to make a whiny thread about it.
Note: Midas and crafted gear is also entirely relevent to the thread since she has excluded the actual best gear, instead terming some of the "better" tier of gear as being the best. Midas, Crafted, Sephirot, and Relic are all avanues to this "better" gear. As soon as you take out that Daily Ex is far and away from being the only way to get tome gear, all of what she says falls flat. Also add it that you need Savage to upgrade the tome gear and well...

How can you clear Midas as many times as she has and NOT have anything to show for it on your main? I get people want to gear other jobs, but your main comes first.Yup. Snips for limit.
Expert Roulettes? That's a funny way of spelling The Feast. No, seriously. I don't think I've run more than 2 Expert Roulettes with the new dungeons. And that was only because FC members dragged me into them.

I even cap it with 2 days expert roulette and seal rock.

I don't have the skill to do any of the more serious content. Daily roulettes are the only place I can feel meaningful.

I use to try to cap my time every week I don't bother now if I get 240 during the week so be it. I do normal Alexander get my 220 gear is were I get most of my tomes. Whenever I do get enough I'll upgrade, but it isn't really required for current content besides savage if you're in a good static.

I'm not understanding your point. You don't have to do expert roulette at all to cap lore. The gear that expert roulette drops is good for gearing alts, if they're not 210 already, good for a stepping stone for returning players catching up, good for glamor, and good for seals.
I cap lore by Wednesday from a combination of all roulettes, all Midas floors, Void Ark, Feast matches, helping FC mates, and the odd farm or two if I'm invited. It's ridiculously easy to cap lore through simply playing everything the game has to offer.
