Would it be possible to enable an option for controller players to use the D-pad instead of the joystick to steer our birds?

I find myself veering left and right way too much when I race because of the way the joystick has to be held directly in the Up position at all times when I'm accelerating. The margin for it to count a Left or Right movement seems really high. There are times when just the slightest twitch from my thumb will start a lane change.

I have missed the item boxes way too often at the last moment because my bird swerved. Then there is the slowdown that happens when accidentally changing lanes that I'd like to avoid. Trying to hit Down on the joystick can cause a lane shift as well when I try to decelerate for recovery.

If there is way to use the D-pad please let me know! I looked through all the menus and keybindings, but I might have missed it somewhere.

I'm not sure about steering, but I know that you can use L1 to accellerate instead of holding forward on the joystick.
