    The grind

    Not sure if this is considered annoying or lengthy compared to some of the end game actual grinds I hear about, yet the 100 quests after the Realm Reborn main questline are so unnecessary feeling. I'm currently on 52 out of 100 on them and I dread logging in to do these, especially since once i unlock machinist, my intended main, I'll be relegated to leveling yet again before I can even do the expansion;

    Sorry for mini rant, was just wondering if anyone else could relate, the quest grind just to unlock the new jobs to level more to even get the expansion, not sure if its the most fun thing.

    tl;dr the whole thing and read a summary later if an interest sparks later.
    It'll go by pretty quickly actually, apart from queue times (for DPS).

    Yeah, I guess trying to watch the cutscenes and read all the text is what's getting me. As a healer my queue is quick, but the solo combat (no chocobo yet) is not.

    But it's a Lvl 30 Quest in Camp Tranquil to unlock your Chocobo as battle companion for noninstanced fights.

    I wont deny I might be a bit lazy having him stabled so my FC can feed him when they have time as I ride my griffin.

    I'll be honest, my chocobo has been stuck in my FC's stable since I joined.
    I never found it useful, since I can't have it out while queuing for something in DF at the same time and all solo content is steamroll easy without it anyway.

    Don't wanna attack your way of playing or anything, but i'd say you're rushing the game.
    Take your time to enjoy it, do side-quests, explore the world, do some old trials and dungeons. Heck you haven't even unlocked the chocobo and it's a lvl 30 quest.
    I'm level 57 with my main and i'm not even close to reach Heavensward, don't really care either, just taking my time doing what i come across.
    There's so many cool things on the journey to max level i think it's a waste to rush them so you can reach the end-game, so that you'll come back to them later when you're bored, you won't find them any fun by then because you've tried the newer, more sophisticated content.

    My 2 cents.

    Easy, just a tad time consuming. The quests seem odd now too, doing such random tasks such as looking for children playing hide and go seek. I just want to get my machinist, then immediately leave to level 20 levels

    Doesn't sound too fun now that i think about it.

    I want to play a class put in the game and spend all my time doing that. But to unlock said class I have to get to the expansion to level it. I did the chocobo quest, he is just stabled and low level.

    Well you're kinda of cramming many patches worth of content into an extended play session, so it's gonna feel a bit lame. At least seeing all of the story at once will help it remain fresher in your memories though. It'll be over before you know it though, and it does drag you through a bunch of dungeons/trials you'd need to unlock anyway so it's not all bad.

    On the other hand I think they've been going for much shorter story content in heavensward and some people have been complaining about that. If they decide to bar the next expansion with the condition that a person needs to finish the heavensward story then perhaps a shorter story won't be so bad.
