I've actually wondered this myself when I tank Midas in DF. "Because it looks awesome" seems like a reasonable answer.
I used the LV3 LB as a MCH in Ifrit hard once and 3 people in the party were shocked and impressed by the visuals purely because they never saw it before. They gave me commendations for it.
I'm the one to use LB 95% percent of the time and seriously it'd be a big relief to not have to worry about it for once.. ranged wanna LB.. go ahead! then I won't have to worry about getting animation locked in that aoe puddle..
Do the range DPS wasting LB actually time the LB to get the kill so you don't get any phases? Or does every bad ranged DPS in this thread use it as soon as it pops regardless of the boss's HP percentage?
If the boss is not going to die to LB then why are you wasting LB? The melee DPS might bloody well be waiting for 20-10%(since the bosses have higher HP pools now) to use it, if you're wasting LB on such a high percentage of HP WTF?! If the melee does not use LB when the LB might kill the boss then by all means take the LB, but don't bloody well waste it when it's not going to go for a kill.
And why does a limit break have to be a kill only thing? By the time you use the limit break for a finishing kill, you could have easily just burned the boss down on your own. Hoarding limit breaks for most general content is just a waste when you could just use it as soon as you get it (or use it when all bars are maxed out) so that you can build up and use it again if it happens.

You use it halfway through M3/M4 and usually can get two LB3s off in World of Darkness as well. Sitting on a full LB bar for so long is more of a waste than saving it as a killing shot.
so it refills faster.Do the range DPS wasting LB actually time the LB to get the kill so you don't get any phases? Or does every bad ranged DPS in this thread use it as soon as it pops regardless of the boss's HP percentage?

What's wrong if people want to refill the LB bar again for next boss or something?Do the range DPS wasting LB actually time the LB to get the kill so you don't get any phases? Or does every bad ranged DPS in this thread use it as soon as it pops regardless of the boss's HP percentage?
