I'd like swimming. I really like it in GW2. I don't expect new abilities (at least not many), but it would be a nice change of pace and would (hopefully) lead to a new way of designing dungeons.

mmh id like to be able to swim , though im not sure about underwater combat , imo it would look a bit unnatural with the current animations , unles we get some new skills for underwater , like shooting with a harpoon XD , oh underwater harpoon fishing XD

Because everyone will sink to the bottom like a rock in full equips.
Swimming would be nice. I think it'd be a nice feature, and doable as well. Perhaps not underwater, but one could easily implement a swimming animation whenever a player entered a certain amount of water, and I think this would work across all of the zones.

I'd be all for swimming on the surface, and sailing as new features, but nothing underwater.
Wow doesn't have invisible walls/loading screens everywhere, Thats the main reason why are not going to have it (soon)
If you only allow it at places where there's a slow entrance to the water (no jumping off cliffs) i think it should be possible, that doesn't leave too many places, it doesn't feel weird not to be able to just swim over some rivers in the arr zones because most of them look like you couldn't even get out there, and we could still swim in costa de sol. I'd be completely fine with no diving being available though.

I'm for water mounts (from a raft to dolphin)
Surface swimming might be nice. I think if they tried adding underwater swimming, though, it would take over too much of the game. They'd need to add enough underwater content to justify the feature, and I'm afraid we'd end up with a whole expansion that takes place mostly underwater. My main is a cat-man, not a merman. I don't want to spend a whole expansion cycle underwater. Swimming is only good if it can remain a minor feature that doesn't become a focal point, and I think if it's limited to the surface only, they have a better chance of getting that balance right.
