300k is nothing though, I can get that in one or two weeks (at most) without removing money from my retainer.
Just by doing my roulette everyday and doing some challenge log (i do 15 more or less every week, without even trying to do them specificly)
Hint : do roulette as the role in need (AKA tank ;p) you'll get 5-10k bonus per run.

300k is nothing for you, but it might be a lot for others. Either way, it's 300k that has one major issue: they can be easily wasted if you leave a FC and unless you are the bestest of best friends with them, I can guarantee you that you'll leave your FC one day, leaving those 300k you've wasted (yes, wasted: because they're not coming back, and they're not going to the FC). At one point I would like to ask: what's the point of wasting 300k for a room when you KNOW you'll eventually leave?

As a matter of fact, I haven't seen a single player in my previous FC buying a room: they're not that stupid!

Plus think of this way: free rooms for a FC = more people joining for that. Some people would like a personal space to decorate and stuff but 300k it's just too much for something that can be easily removed. If it was free, people would have an additional reason to join a FC: free rooms for everyone, everyone will want to join a FC (with housing, of course) and eventually it could grow bigger. It's simply win-win with zero drawbacks.

Besides, there SHOULD be better ways to make gil sink ("cough" glamour "cough").

As for me, with my house I have everything I need (repairs, aesthetician, armoire, and I even have a MB right in front of me), so in my case "what's the point of joining a FC?" Those 2 daily buffs that are barely noticeable?

PS: if someone says "easy grouping", linkshells are better.

PPS: yes this was offtopic but my point remains: make inn rooms more useful!
