Can no longer challenge Tataru Taru to Triple Triad matches?

I just came across this as I wanted to try and get the Tataru Taru Card for a particular card build, but since I am done the main story completely (at least until Heavensward), Tataru Taru says, "Forgive me, Pink, but now is not the best time. Urianger will be contacting me via linkpearl any moment now. I do appreciate the offer, though! Mayhap we can play when I'm not busy!"

Um... Huh? Kinda need some of those cards you have Tataru Taru. Am I missing something maybe?

You can only challenge her at certain times.

She's not the only one either. there's about half a dozen timed NPCs

There are several npcs that work this way. Just something you gotta work with.

I played her a bit. Actually managed to make MGP off of it, but she is frustrating to play because of the random and even though it is random she gets to use the same exact deck every time, so she get's the same cards and I could end up with crappy cards from my deck. Apparently random means only random for the player.

Pretty much. She has the highest payout and rarest cards in the entire game (being the only NPC that drops one of the non-FFXIV platinum cards) and one of the cards in her deck is a one-star.
She's pretty balanced, considering.
