Glamouring Book/System --Idea-suggestion

Hello! So I have noticed even Free to Play games tend to have this option or feature. Yet we do not? We have the ability to glamour items, but it requires you to have the item on hand (which for many of us screaming for inventory space can be on one of our 7 retainers); along with the prism that you need.( which is probably on a different retainer). So 45-50 minutes later after all is said and done we finally have our glamours!

Could it be possible to set up a system that allows you to "unlock" or "house appearances". I know in another game I play that has a glamour book in order to gain an appearance you have to destroy the item. I think this could work as most of us are buying gear to glamour the gear and letting it sit....and sit....and....sit...but twelve know we wont get rid of it because we will use it again some day.

With a glamour book, the "saved" or "unlocked" items could be stored along with the glamour prisms you own. Every things stays in one place.


The people that don't want to destroy the item because they still maybe using it for leveling or stats can still glamour their items they would just need to use maybe a function from the glamour book "use from inventory" or something. So it would be the best of both worlds!

I doubt the markets would dry up because people will still buy the prisms. They will still buy the pieces they need, or run the dungeons. Its just more a quality of game play freeing up space, and keeping gamers (like myself) from hording EVERYTHING.

If anything it would be the games own limitations that will hinder us getting a glamour book as opposed to not suggesting a few good ideas to them.

Being so common and default in many other games, I am really disappointed we have none in here.

I like your idea, and the others people have made about this topic, but I am pretty sure at least for a long time yet, ffxiv isn't capable of handling the feature. smh

Very good idea and an issue that definitely needs addressed. Preferably sooner rather than later as the lack of inventory space will become even more prevalent as the game gets older and more expansions come out. But really, if 4-5 year old free to play MMOs can handle glamour books, I'm certain SE can find a way to implement one in a sub based game. (Even with their seemingly dated servers.)
