I remember one time a really low ilvl tank was "makin fun" of me because he steal the enemity from me 2 seconds... After use provoke. I mean i dont understand some people who want to show they are "better" and ruin the run in the process

I know my english its bad, don't bully me T_T.
I seen OT's take hate a few times in 24-man raids, heck did it a few times myself as PLD in Syrcus in sword oath (PLD suck as OT since RoH was our best DPS move back then... which gains arrgo) that happens I go stand becide them & see if they actually can/will take it back (which if they used only arrgo combo's they should) if that fails then fine Tank stance it is... even if runs were that happens I was the only OT who actually grabed adds (most of the reason I run 24-man raids as tank cause it see them ignore them to much)
Heck think 1 Syrcus run I got all 7 commends from my team cause I was the OT that cared while the other 2 played spin the boss for all but X'ande (cause I took him as Sword oath PLD... & they thought I used provoke pfft didn't even need it thanks to their aparently undergearedness, thou I do feal bad for them, think 1 tried to provoke it back 3 times but I was shield oath by then & they had bad timing)
First world (aka NA and EU) problem.
In JP datacenter for 8 man MT priority is PLD > DRK > WAR unless you have dupes in which case anything goes.
For 24 man B Alliance tank always MT.
had one in VA the other day on Cuchulain, can't remember which class it was but they even popped Provoke, (I was on WAR), I saw the provoke and laughed. I'm far from an epic WAR but I don't share hate ever and they failed pulling it from me so, it was funny tbh HAHA

If you're not on your tank stance and take enmity from the person MTing, yeah, they're probably doing something wrong. Your devil's advocate argument is a little flawed mostly because no tank worth their salt will constantly spam their enmity combo over and over again, because they have other combos that will help out the group more due to boosted DPS, damage mitigation/self-healing, and raid utility. Sometimes you'll get your agro stolen from you for a split second by that special DRK who lives and breathes the Power Slash combo, so you have to decrease your personal contribution to the group by a bit in order to keep enmity on a boss from someone reducing their damage by 20% and also using their weakest combo DPS and utility-wise. Of course, you could always say, "just be the bigger person and let babby main tank", but I personally refuse to let someone who's playing their job subpar triumph, so instead I'll make them feel frustrated that they can't take the boss off me.I'll play devil's advocate on this one and say if you plan to mt, or accept mt as your role, keep hate. That's not saying try to keep hate from tank stance tanks but keep it from me in ot stance. I did a labrynth run last night and went as pally. I turned sword oath on and went ham with my DPS rotations (lol) I stole hate on the final boss, twice. Not saying this was your circumstance, but I've seen this a few times.
that's a curious order, considering that a group more often than not benefits more from a PLD OT and a DRK MT, instead of the other way around.

In 8 man stuff I generally wait for a bit at the beginning to see if the other tank puts on their tank stance. If they dont then I go into mine and pull. There are those special tanks that sit there without turning on tank stance but then decide to do it AFTER you have decided to mt and pulled and try to rip it from you because they wanted to MT but never made any indication of it. I cant speak for 24 man experience since i havent ran one as a tank yet, though i can say those tanks annoy me when im on a melee dps. It keeps turning the damn boss.
I have also had rare times (usually trials) where the other tank decided to MT but was absolute garbage with some important aspect such as positioning so I switch to tank stance and rip the boss from them. They can get mad at me all they want but im not letting their bad tanking cause a wipe
It's rare, but I've had instances where I'm in full communication with the other tanks. We'll trade off MT positions, coordinate cooldowns and swaps, even pick up the slack if one of us derps and bites the dust.
I've been tanking Void Ark almost every week since it launched, and this has only happened twice.
Usually, I presume to be the offtank even on PLD. Unless the other tanks won't budge from their DPS stances, or enough of them die to where I need to step in, or that rare communication happens, I assume they're going to feel the need to compensate for their small cue times by aggro-hogging, and so don't fight it. 99% of the time, this makes things much more enjoyable in there.

Just had the same thing as DRK running VA and called out that I'll be tanking Sawtooth only to have a PLD stole it xD guess that's one more reason to add why i don't tank during raids xD Then again I love the tank battles for aggro it's all fun and game.

You are definitely not alone OP. Interestingly enough I often find, in normal content as well as 24-man content, that when I'm MTing one of the OTs are in front next to me. Taking all the cleaves with me in their dps stance. Not quite sure why, but I suppose it's nice that someone is so intent on keeping me company. >_>;

You know, is it a trend among PLD to do that? I only DRK MT in VA and every damn time it is a friggin PLD that does that <<
Even after asking /a who's got what, no response? I go in, they start enmity fighting me from the get go (and no, I ain't losing hate to a SwO PLD, they are clearly in ShO) . Although there was that odd time where a lower geared DRK was enmity fighting me and so like always "I'm too old for this shit" and let them feel special for once, and so do the same with the other PLD that do that.
