Ya the odds are way too bad atm, they should allow any order of the same numbers or change it to daily jumbo tickets or at very least up the worst mpg payout to 10k or something so we can slowly built towards even if we don't win, not like mpg is hard to come by after the new changes but some of us do like getting the achievements.

the numbering needs to be fixed too one week I picked 9124 the winning number was 9123 . with the current way it said I matched 0 and won a consolation ...

honestly I keep thinking that they should treat each cactpot entry as a raffle ticket. Whatever the winning numbers are, at least one person walks away with the jackpot weekly. It would certainly motivate more people to participate if their odds were somewhere between 1 in x and 1 in 10000. Because the latter could take years at the very least. With the former there's the illusion of hope.

The problem with that method is that people would start to band together to all choose the same numbers. This would boost the odds of winning significantly. Any system that isn't left to complete RNG, players will find an exploit and abuse it.

It would be to their detriment because the prize would be shared between them all. There's also no reason why they can't introduce uniqueness to the numbers, if yours is already sold then choose a new one (the random option ensuring you find a vacant one). You could also pre-reserve the same number for eternity if you so wished, every ticket has the same chance to win so theoretically the number is "less important" in the proposed system because you know one person will win each week, it is more important for the lower prizes.

It would be better if every week without a jackpot winner. They draw additional set of numbers, You can win off all sets of numbers but best prize only.

100% sure the whole server wont pick the same number, randoms aren't that organized with anything, and even if a big number of people try this, it's solved as easily as a shared prize pool.
