Black Mage - Enochian Failure?

Not sure if this is the right forum to post this on, but anyway...

Lately, since Patch 3.25 I'd say, I've been having this issue increasingly frequently, despite it never coming up before. Simply put, I'll trigger Enochian, but the buff won't be applied, leaving me with restricted DPS for the next minute while it's on cooldown.

Has anybody else been having this issue?

That happens to me only if I'm lagging out at that moment. I also get it with leylines from time to time.

It has only ever to me during bad lag spikes

Can confirm that several times during mostly lag spikes I'll drop Leylines or pop Enochian and will get the cool down but no buff. Extremely frustrating. But from what I can tell it's just due to lag.

I can't say I've ever had this happen to me with losing the cooldown as well.
I've encountered times where I'm mashing Raging Strikes, Ley Lines, and Enochian, and one may not get triggered before my GCD is done, but that's been nothing new.

Something similar happens to me sometimes when I try to trigger multiple oGCDs within one cooldown. It's usually due to lag.

This has been a thing for quite a while now. I've known about it since like 2.5 when bard was heavily dependent on popping multiple ogcds between most gcds. Often times when you did this, the server might hiccup and end up registering that you used enochian but it was only able to register one of the buffs actually applying due to how it interacts with your own connection. It's a weird thing related to latency and it seems much less frequent with faster connections but I couldn't tell you what really causes it. Generally just try not to mash the two buff buttons within the same one second timeframe

Enochian was such a bad idea in the first place...but onto your concern, I have experienced similar situation happening with many job abilities when ( it seems) I hit the ability faster then the game can react to it.

I don't experience any noticeable lag, being so close to the na servers may be that reason, idk..but if I spam abilities too fast in succession, some buffs simply don't get applied and some abilities just don't happen.

This only happens though in ffxiv, not in the other games I play so I'm not sure what the specific reason behind being game specific only is.
