A few questions, maybe someone can help..

#1 Camera issue - my husband plays a Roegadyn and when he is fighting if the mob hits him, the camera will immediately jerk and move right behind his character, making him not be able to see anything but the back of his character. Its really frustrating when fighting small mobs. We've tried messing with the camera settings, but haven't seem to have found the right answer. Does anyone else have this issue? Is it just something we aren't doing right? The closest we've found is to have him not lock onto his target, but that gets dangerous. Is there any way to be able to have your target locked and watch the action from a side view like we used to do in FFXI?

#2 Pugilist question - Is Pugilist just really slow now? are there cross class skills that help pugilist not to have to wait on to hit again? Again, maybe we are doing something wrong. Just seems like all PGL skills are TP based, and we spend what seems like a lot of time waiting for things to become available so we can do more than auto-attack. Is there any hints that anyone would be kind enough to share? Would appreciate any suggestions!

On #1: Unfortunately that camera issue is something all close range fighters deal with, but thankfully the devs are working on fixing the issue. Till then, the only remedy, like you mentioned, is to unlock when fighting those enemies.

#2: If your husband hasn't picked it up yet, he can try using Pugilist guild marks for Pummel and later Flurry. With those 2 and Light Strike he should be able to get the TP he needs for his abilities quickly, although it would be best to rotate them due to timers. With Featherfoot recovering MP on evade he shouldn't have any trouble if he keeps hate. Invigorate from Lancer gives you some TP regeneration so he might be interested in picking that up.

1. I don't play Roegadyn, but I would expect raising the camera height to max in configuration ought to at least help. :-/

2. 'Invigorate' (14LNC) gives a TP boost in exchange for a small HP cost. Getting and using more regular attack skills like Light Strike, Flurry, and Pummel from the PGL guild in Ul'dah can also help with TP. I actually have trouble using it all on my 30PGL unless I use Victimize.

2. Trust Este and Robert. They're very smart.

I would just add that you can also equip throwing weapons. For Pugilist, they're called "Chakram." They don't do a ton of damage, but they give you TP, and you can throw one every couple of seconds. Any time you're low on TP, you can throw one and probably get enough TP to use a Weaponskill.

You can buy them in the Market Wards. If you're buying Bronze Chakram (Optimal Rank 12), you can buy them from an NPC in Uldah named Zagylswerd for (I believe) 163 gil each. He's located here.
