Different worlds community, how to know?

Jenova is very hard to classify, we have very little raiders, elitist here and there, farm groups almost all times of the day, some rp, nice chuck of solo players, very little crafters and gatherers. It's not a very helpful server in my book, everyone wants Gil for helping one another, we've had a few people that were very helpful and wanted the community to grow but they couldn't put a dent into the world.

That's kinda sad. When I moved to Gilgamesh, I was fully expecting this, but I have honestly found a lot of the opposite. There's people all over that are helpful just for the sake of being helpful. There's always crafters in PF offering free melds for others who don't have crafters leveled. In addition, I've met some awesome people that have helped me by crafting items that are beyond my stat level, and never demanded huge amounts of gil for their time. These are the people that I go out of my way to tip very, very nicely.

TL/DR: Join Zalera and all your problems will melt away. Then step out of the puddle-of-problems and start having fun!

If you can recommend me to an appropriate FC... I'd actually come back on an alt. Zalera was my home server and I have an unused alt there.

Recently I tried to find a mature group of players who wasn't insistent on Skype, Facebook, Kik, etc, use. I just fell into a couple FCs that wouldn't chat while I was in a dungeon if I wouldn't do so through their Skype group (hard to do while healing) and who couldn't stop the sex jokes to just have a conversation.

I'm from an FC called Chubby Rain, one of the oldest FCs in Zalera. We are a group that's been together from the very beginning of ARR. We're laid back, but are trying to rebuild our FC to get back to the way it was in the beginning. We have old players and new players and all are welcome. I do enjoy playing in Zalera a lot, even though I was forcefully dumped here, (I chose Siren, but sent to Zalera) I wouldn't leave here as I have lots of fun playing on this server and good loyal friends.

I loved PSHome. I was on aaaallll the time. Hahaha. Let me tell you that game/thing was horrid for glamour collectors, I spent so much money that Lockwood was like "Hey maybe you could take this lion mount and this personal space for free and show it off? Thanks." XD

I really need to get on that server, Coeurl is like 4th from the bottom in terms of population, and we don't do much other than bird farms. I like my FC mates too much to leave em though.

It's funny how you attempt to defend the greed of our server by detailing how much you charge people to run through content when that's one of the most greedy thing to do in this game.

Crafting only has more investment if the lack of supplies are evident, if we had an abundance of gatherers like you claim we wouldn't have such small crafter numbers. More gatherers would mean more crafters, which would mean more sales on the MB, which would mean things would sell for less because there is more of a supply. Meaning Jenova wouldn't be one of the most costly servers to stay on.

You have no counter argument for people selling spots into diadem or the listing in party finder selling their email address for their housing information. Also, you realize there is lootmaster rules right? Which can determine who gets the drop? You paying 7 other to pass on a drop shouldn't even be a thing because of this loot rule. Which is why I said it's greedy, as you legitimately do not need to involve Gil with this, but hey if you want to waste your Gil then by all means please be an idiot and do it.

I guess according to your logic my friends in my main linkshell who I have made leve items for free are all freeloaders, as am I since the people in my craft and foraging inkshell who have made me free items. I guess the free company I was in was a bunch of freeloaders since I made them leve items for no profit, I guess wanting to help the community advance isn't something Jenova understands.

You can also monitor that Zalera forum, it's used fairly frequently when FCs are recruiting.
It usually gets a posting or two per week or so.

Or if you have an alt on Zalera already, I've seen recruiting PFs up every now and then, too.

There's also a great Facebook community. Pretty sure it's called "FFXIV: Zalera"
