    I said my take on it in the previous page. The class could still be around DOTs and use the limit break every now and then. Hell there's many ways it could have been done but i'm not going to dwell much on it anyway, no huge game changing will be done just to please us big summons lovers. Right now summons are for you only to kill, what you get to use in the class is just a pet.

    I want traditional melees then.

    You get 1 ability called attack and (maybe) a few Techniques/abilities.

    Like traditional DRG gets 1 attack + 1 jump. Get's double jump @60. Done. Very traditional, nice.

    I had this conversation with friend of mine the other day. Basically, THM gets fire, ice, and lightning spells and CNJ gets earth, wind, and water spells. So make a hybrid class that combines the two so you can use all elemental spells for one class.

    Your thinking Redmage I would assume, but lets not start that mess. xD

    Wouldn't argue honestly if Summoner got changed to a new class completely to recreate summoner. I kinda expected them to have big cast times to summon for a big hit or maybe even akin to Yuna in Dissidia.

    Red Mage, Warlock, whatever they wanted to call it :P I just think it'd be nice to have a class that used all elemental types. Re-doing the summoner class to include more summons (like Shiva and Alexander) would be nice too. That way you could use the elemental summon type best suited for the fight.

    SMN dps was never "good." Every Summoner tried to argue this citing their 1800 damage Predator Claws, but they were at the low end regardless of how good the player was. The class was designed that way.

    And if you were MBing on your Summoner, it sounds like you were on the low end of a low end class.

    Yeah DRK and SAM we're amazing for DD's..at least when I played way back then lol. SMN was just good for hate free damage on wyrms and such.

    Trust me, I agree with SMN being decent damage, but I gotta stand up for DRK and SAM for a moment. Remember, FFXI was notorious for having "flavor of the month" jobs. People used to love DRGs until Penta Thrust got nerfed, nobody wanted DRK and SAM then they buffed 2-handed weapons (consequently Great Axe WARs were wanted as well), etc. etc. etc. XI was a mess in terms of balance.
