OP, it's an April Fools joke.

How an Earth do you keep typing "don'the"!?

My phone also does this when you go back and try to edit a word. It autocorrects but adds the word to the end of the previous word and it's probably saved it to his phones dictionary which is why he keeps typing it.

Because it saves into the phones dictionary meaning whenever he types "dont' it auto corrects it to 'don'the'. At least that's what my phone does until I change it manually. He probably just didn't notice.
