So you're saying that one of the most popular reasons for mixed race pairings is specifically to avoid child-rearing (actually, I can see that happening)?

I suppose that would also explain the popularity of mixed race couplings among adventurers. If there is less of a chance of conceiving a child, then such a pairing would have less chance of being forced into early retirement due to pregnancy and child rearing responsibilities.
