Which feels like it fits - military personnel ending up closer (both camaraderie and in other ways) due to shared life experiences trumping race, basically.
Aha! I thought it was them, but they didn't say anything and I was wondering if they were or not the ones and nothing pointed out and I even walked near the Miqo'te but no dialogue box popped up.

I really wish you can just trigger their dialogue instead of waiting for them to speak at times and when it looks like nothing will happen at all.

*Sigh*... How I wish my character could date Y'shtola, Hilda, Ysayle, or Yugiri at one point in the game. They really are remarking character with intriguing personalities.

Now going with Hilda... do Adventurers often have kids with each other? I really hope and like Yoshi-P expands this in upcoming patches to see hybrid children of Adventurers wandering around somewhere. Reminds of another MMO I played, which was Free to Play.

It's called LaTale and the main heroine NPC of the game's story, Iris, who the player is searching for that's gone missing that she was born a Derr offspring between a Human and Derr (not sure which parent was which race though I suspect the husband was the human and the mom the Derr) yet it was always told that any offspring between a Derr and a Human would end up a Human but Iris ended up mysterious a Derr child instead.

Though we're never told how many couples between those two were so the numbers might've been low and like how you get either a boy or a girl there's a 50% chance if could be a Human or not. Well seeing as FFXIV Lore mentions the child will always be the same as the mother.
