    Adventurers can't really afford not to be tolerant. As someone mentioned earlier, they take jobs from a variety of people. Refusing to take gil from certain types because of rascism could keep them from putting food on the table. Not to mention showing disdain for clients can keep them from getting hired, with similiar results.

    But there's also the fact their job often lands them in multi-racial parties and groups for dungeons, raids, and other battles. At that point, intolerance could not only cost them money, but also their lives. After all, rascism often comes with a degree of mistrust, and you need to be able to trust your party with your life if you want any chance in hell of surviving, much less succeeding.

    Put these two factors together, and even the most rascist person to join the Adventurer's Guild will have to swallow their prejudice at some point or another. Those that don't will cease being adventurers...One way or another.
