    Ultimate PvP Incentivizing Tweak?

    I'm actually finding The Feast to be quite enjoyable.But, is there even any incentive for it? Fun? Glamour? Bragging rights? What if we brought ourselves back to the needs of the people: Tomes?

    In general, I've always felt that one of the biggest and unreasonable mistakes this game makes is forcing the only respectable income of tomes to the Expert Roulette (two dungeons). This games has so many absurd sets of "traditions" that its so afraid to break.

    What I'm trying to say is, why don't we get an updated frontlines roulette (which has forbiddingly long queue times anyway) and turn it into a "PvP" Daily roulette that includes The Feast? On an even more controversial note, why is it so taboo to push PvP (or any activity in the game) Lore drop rates from 10 per match to say... 20? God forbid, 30???

    Please give people who aren't SUPER into pvp a reason to participate, other than the gratification of fun, all while easing overall game grind!

    As it is I only do PvP because its faster to farm tomes at 20 Eso per max of 8mins than running some dungeons over and over. Along with the added benefit of wolf marks for glamour and the chance of the Fenrir pup. However, do you really want waves of people who are only there for the bonus? Honestly I don't care about PvP, I do try my best but I am also not gonna waste time melding PvP gear let alone actually wear it in battle.

    If the reward for a Feast match was increased just to 20 lore, even 8-minute matches would be as efficient as a 30-minute expert dungeon with the roulette bonus.

    Even a 20-minute expert with the roulette bonus, which is reasonably fast given the gating and current gear levels, would be matched in efficiency by 5.33-minute Feast matches, if they awarded 20 lore each.

    Without the daily roulette bonus, you'd need to be running a expert dungeon in just 16 minutes to even be as efficient as an 8-minute, 20 lore Feast match.

    Given that they also award PvP experience and wolf marks (and that we're already seeing people queuing to try to intentionally lose matches quickly even with the current esoterics rewards), the current lore reward is probably right where it should be.

    I wouldn't mind them increasing the reward but removing the lore reward entirely for a loss. I have never encountered anyone losing on purpose (thank heavens for Japanese servers) but the stories from the other half of the world are worrying. Even bad* players will still win enough to make the incentive appealing so long as they actually try. Feast 4v4 queues are really long for me (as in, several hours long) so I welcome anything which encourages more people to queue.

    The current setup with repeatedly running easy scripted content ad nauseam for tomes isn't very exciting. Why not make PVP as efficient for lore? It's not hard to cap it through PVE at all, just boring when you're running the same dungeon for the dozenth time that month.

    * I'm not being elitist. I'm actually pretty bad too!

    If anything I'd like them to remove tomestones from pvp matches altogether.
    This would stop people who have little interest in pvp from participating.

    Eh I feel they should definitely not be in ranked but unranked why not? It is unranked anyways.

    I havent pvped at all yet so if there was any misinformation with the small bit i said (like if ranked already doesnt give tomes or something) that is my bad

    Alternatively just double the Tomestone rewards but only award those Tomestones to the team that wins. Basically the winners are walking away with the loser's Tomestones.

    Those looking to us PvP to farm Tomestomes will have incentive to win and PvPrs can just spend their time getting better while getting their weekly cap on the side without issue. It'll also filter out the trash that has no reason to be there.

    Yes! Having an incentive to the winners only isn't a bad idea at all.
    People had asked for this in Frontlines too.

    It's certainly tough to make a decent argument for rated Feast matches awarding it, and if they'd kept it out of Feast completely, perhaps they wouldn't have effectively killed Frontlines.

    I'd be happy with that. On average you'd ideally be earning tomestones at around the same rate, with more effort leading to more rewards, and it completely destroys any incentive for PVP-haters to leech. They finally fixed the age-old match fixing exploit with PVP this week so maybe they'll be able to implement this adjustment in a reasonable timeframe, too.

    FL having a reward either way doesn't bother me as there's a higher chance of loss and I feel that there's already a lot of bandwagon-jumping because of perceived imbalances between GCs. That and it never pops any more for me. But The Feast could definitely use some incentive balancing.
