Feeding in the Feast for Esos

My team has made it a rule that if we encounter Naked or Craft Gear Eso grinders in 4 vs 4 Premade PVP we wait at least 5 minutes before killing them.

We basically /sundropdance until the 5min mark and then proceed to kill them. Sometimes we even wait longer depending on if it is the same group farming.
We actually encouraged a few Eso farmers to fight us back while others seemed to just stop or leave when they see us.



I say Until Squarenix fixes the problem we should do our part as a PVP community and just wait out the timer until the very last second to discourage this kind of behavior.

Well apart from you now being as bad if not worse than the eso farmers when it comes to disrupting progression, sure. valid idea.

Running at us with no equipment, fishing for fast deaths in order to just que up fast and farm for more deaths in order to get esos for doing absolutely nothing?

You call that progression?

My group has def had cases where the eso farmers got fed up and put their armor back on to fight us lmao.

I'm a horrible human being because I'm starting to do it myself. I won't go naked and feed... But I'm certainly not trying at times. Only time I've ever just stopped healing someone is if they're jerks, but it's never been the full team.

I know people are saying its not against the rules which is technically isn't but doesn't it classify as harassment? The farmers are "harassing" their team and making it harder for legitimate pvpers to win. This happens in seize and frontlines as well but less, generally calling them out in /say will either get them to pick up their act or your party will boot them in the blink of an eye.

Just a thought, if you go against a farm group just strip and have a dance off or something, because why not.

Like others have said it's not technically against the ToS and little or nothing will be done mostly because everything would have to be reviewed on a case by case basis (however much or little time each case would require). They can't just take every report at face value, otherwise people could report players for legitimately trying but playing poorly rather than trying to lose quickly.

Poor connections can make it look like a player is just standing there waiting to die when in fact they're just as annoyed as the rest of the team (granted you'll usually see the red disconnect icon over their head -- if that shows in PVP, I forget).

I'm not saying it's not a problem, just that enforcement is very difficult/ time consuming/ resource intensive.

SE can implement a lot of features to keep this to a minimum, like 2 minute AFK kick (could probably be 1 minute), gear requirements (shouldn't be able to remove gear), and maybe some more creative things like 0 DPS/ healing = 0 reward, but they have to draw the line somewhere and people trying to exploit will step across that line and go no further.

They are not disrupting their opponents' wish to progress. Unlike the other poster's disruption idea.

Also, they found a way to progress themselves at the same time.
