Why are caster and healer (almost) always a colorswap

Mnk with fists of fire make sense to them get ifrit primal gear but the tank would make sense having the titan set. And while Shiva is ok for healer, ramuh would be the best for casters.

I have a feeling they're saving Ramuh and Titan (and other primals) for future tomestone gear sets.

Anyway, with the amount of gear that's added each patch, I don't see why they wouldn't have time to make two different-looking sets for healers and casters. At least for the most important gear like tomestone, Void Ark and Alexander sets. It makes me sad every time I see it's yet another colour swap. That's 5 jobs sharing the same gear model.

They most likely gave casters Shiva set becuase BLM uses Ice spells and the SMN can use Bliz 2 I think. Still lame.

I agree with this. There are soooo many color swapped healer/caster sets in the game - too many. Just the ones I can think of off the top of my head:

It got outrageous enough at one point that the BRD set was a recolor of the Caster/healer set, too. Doubly so when that's also the crafted glamour set at the release of 3.0 for MCH/BRD

They don't have the right to be lazy, and I don't care if it takes more work. IT IS their work, and I pay them every month along with everyone playing this game, to give us interesting content. They're already lazy enough to do a glamour log so I pay them even more because I have to buy more retainers.

So other than AST sticking it's nose in the game, the pallet swaps aren't too outrageous to think of.
