The differences in the difficulty of that step is a bouns for those who have their craft/gather to 60. It takes a heck of a lot more work to get those classes to that level, than the benefit you get as well. The real bouns is being able to sell the product anyway.

I didn't craft or gather for those and that part of the quest was by far the easiest. There isn't much easier than being prepared and buying them off the MB or from someone selling them in PF. There is no difficulty at all in buying them of the MB, so really, the savings crafters get from making their own is the bonus.

But in the end you are really just pointing out that someone who comes prepared will find the step easier, which is the same for everything.

Which no one should have to point out, since it is pretty dang obvious.

But given some of the posts on previous pages, and in other similar threads, it's apparently something that some people missed (given the multiple "You shouldn't find it hard because I didn't find it hard because I was prepared" type responses)...and why I brought it up in the first place.

I would say their responses wer geared more towards, you wouldn't find it hard if you had set yourself up for success. That step is not an RNG step, so really it is only as hard as you make it on yourself. If you keep a gil stash around, then steps like that, or at least the crafting portion are not really a concern.

Doing stuff like finding a solid crafter you can go to as a regular helps with those steps. A lot want repeat customers.

Also, they should not be changing the step to coddle the least prepared. Not until the time comes for them to change it so that newer players can have an easier time catching up.
