I see this sentiment often, and I find it kind of odd. Why wouldn't it happen on the JP datacentres and servers? Honestly, It probably happens regardless of what server/datacentre you're on. You cannot create an exploitable system and not expect someone to exploit it. There might be more players doing it or less players doing it, but it is practically guaranteed that someone will be doing it. Japanese players aren't somehow above that logic.

Different cultures put priorities on different things. Japan, and many other eastern cultures, prioritizes community over individuality. The USA, and many other western cultures, prioritizes individuality over community.

A player who does something like this in Japan might find themselves heavily stigmatized to the point of having difficulty playing.

Whats also funny is that this is already probably the easiest relic stage since zenith, and even that might have been worse (zenith at release took a minimum of 3 weeks)

I haven't been to The Feast yet, but I often go to Frontlines and judging from what happens there, I'm sure people are doing crazy stuff like this in The Feast as well. We have a lot of people recently who just run around doing their own thing. Healers and black mages running directly into an enemy group and just die. Some people will even stay dead for a long time without respawning or reviving.

Just a little while ago we had 5 healers in a 7-person party (a common occurrence for some reason?). Only one of them was wiling to change to another class before the match began, even though two of them had all jobs at level 60. My only 60 is my WHM, so I couldn't change. I explained this situation and even asked if just one more person could change because 4 healers in a 7 person party in Frontlines doesn't have much chance. Yet no one did. People don't seem to care about teamwork or even trying.

You sure do use the term exploit very loosely. This may not be in the spirit of the game by a long shot but it's not an exploit. If it were it would have been emergency patched already.

teams were impossible to play on primal today without going against a farm party losing on purpose.

guess what happened after all those throw parties split up? they ended up bleeding into the solo queues too. i just had a match with two of them, one on my team and one on the other. the one on my team PURPOSELY was not healing the party until we threatened to report him.

without a change feast will lose pretty much all semblance of competitiveness, and it was already off track since the start.

This is certainly true. However a lot of people fall back on this argument to an almost fundamentalist/zealot level-which isn't surprising considering how many Japanophiles probably play this game. They paint an image where "X" problem would "never happen" in the JP community-as if jackasses don't exist in Japan.

Either way this ultimately part of a greater problem of people forming preconceived perceptions of another country based on nothing more than stereotypes. That's for another thread though. Jackasses exist in every country regardless of societal standards, so it shouldn't be outside the realm of possibility that this is indeed happening.
