I wonder if it's works.
I mean,
If I have high character in realm (serve).
Could I send gils/items/armors (myself crafting) for another new character in same realm?
Can I? Or I can't?

You cannot mail stuff from a character to another character on your account even if they are on the same realm. If you have a fc you could put stuff in the fc chest and then go onto your other character and then take back the stuff that you put in the chest. But you can mail stuff to any players in your server if they are on your friendslist. They can't be on free trial. You just can't mail stuff to your own characters.
I actually think there is no strictly restriction for mail to your own characters. However, you can only mail for people who are on your friend list. And you can only add people to your friend list if they are online the same time. Since you can only login with one character at the time you can't have your alts on friend list, and for that reason can't mail to them. It's a bit of semantics but still.
If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.
Well, another person asking about it makes a good excuse for repeating the request that they change this.
SE, could you please let us mail stuff to our other characters? This could be implemented any of several ways:Surely one or another of those would be simple enough to change.
- The moogle mail system could be changed to allow mail to either Friend list characters or alts on our own account.
- Our Friend list could be set to automatically include all characters on our account and server as well as those we explicitly add.
- Or the Friend Request system could be changed to not require the recipient to be online at the time, with any offline character getting the request next time they log in.
The reason why the mail system requires that you only send to Friends is supposed to be an anti-RMT measure, but that wouldn't apply to your own alts anyway. Nobody is going to spam themselves or sell gil to themselves. Being on the same account is a far closer connection than being accepted onto someone's Friend list, so it's safer than the current rule.
I have also heard that one reason to limit ingame mailing to your alts is to discourage account sharing, ie different persons using different characters on same account. I really don't get the idea behind this though. They seem to think that if I play with a friend I'd want to send them tons of stuff, while if I actually played the alts myself I wouldn't. So these said friend should get their own account so I could sent them the said tons of stuff. That's.. well.. backwards. If anything I want to share stuff with my own ones.

I see.... Since I don't have now friends in FFXIV.
I was always think FFXIV's mail would same "world of warcraft" style (I played it)
I could send items from my character for other my characters. So suck I can't, would was easy.
To be fair, unlike World of Warcraft you can do all the classes on a single character. There's really no reason to have multiple characters.
That removes what's probably the biggest reason for having multiple characters in most other MMOs, but there are several other reasons that still apply:Those are the reasons that come to mind immediately (the first two because they're my own reasons, and the third is one I've heard from several people). There are probably other reasons as well. But the main point is that so long as there are reasons, and players who choose to have multiple characters, it would be good if SE didn't make it so difficult to coordinate passing items between them.
- Most quests (including all the story-driven ones) are one-time-only quests. Having multiple characters allows you to play through the stories multiple times.
- For roleplayers, or just those who view their characters as "characters" each having an identity of their own, drastic Fantasia changes (like race or gender) are too jarring to the sense of who your character is. In that case, multiple characters are the better way to be able to play around with different appearances and races. Just establish a different character for each race and gender you want to play.
- In endgame content, there are caps and lockouts that limit a player's ability to gear up multiple jobs quickly if they only play one character. But having different characters focusing on different jobs means that each of those jobs can gain the full week's worth of loot each week. (Of course this assumes the player has time enough to repeat the content with each character on a regular basis.)
While you can't add your characters to your friend list to mail things between them, you can see your other characters' retainers on the market board, so you can trade stuff between them that way. It's not the most convenient method but it's better than nothing.
