Cant log in? Unable to complete version check error?

I've been trying to log in for about an hour now and every time I hit log in I end up on a black screen with the following message.

Unable to complete version check.
[20458][24530][20457][410]

I'm on PlayStation 4. I've tried turning the system off as well as leaving it alone for a while but the issue is persisting?

I'm getting the same thing. Can't find anything online bout anyone else having the same issues so far. What's the current launder version cuz mine says 2016.03.16 but when I keep trying to have it check for an update it doesn't find anything new

My experience with the PC version of this problem is that regardless of what is flagged, they're often caused by mismatched version information files from a failed update attempt, typically in the /ex1 folder, and the solution that has worked for me several times (ie, without fail) is to reinstall, or equivalently, keep a backup of the program files folder and docs files, and replacing them, or just replacing the /ex1 folder. Then you let it update again, and it will restart the latest update from scratch. Sadly, I don't know how you would pull off the equivalent solution on the PlayStation.

For PC users: Running as administrator rectified this error for me when I used to have it.
Right click the FFXIV icon on your desktop/menu and select "Run as Administrator".

For anyone still struggling with this issue. What I did to fix it was disconnect the Internet from my PlayStation and then connect it to my smartphones personal Internet hotspot.

When I tried the launcher again it picked up the patch as per normal. A few other people on another thread on this topic said this method worked for them too.
