When will players stop asking for things in Cash Shop...? This was a limited item as a "reward" for the fanfest. Why do you think you deserve it? If you can't buy OR go to something limited in time, then deal with it.
Those items are rare and "valuable" BECAUSE they're limited in time and/or as reward/souvenir from fanfests or livestreams or else.
You want it? Then get it the right way, or don't.

How do people find these old threads?

Sadly things arent allowed to be rare/exclusive/limited time anymore. People whine too much and demand they have the right to the items, even if they werent playing at the time or didnt care to get the items even if they were playing. When will players stop asking for things in Cash Shop...? So true... That's why S.E. should stop listening those whining spoilt childs and do NOT add those items in cash shop anymore.

The way they did this in FFXI was to add another moogle costume with a different colored pom.
Also, it seems the same thing is being done with the moogle cap in FFXIV. There's apparently a "yellow-pommed" version on XIVDB.
So, it seems likely that if they did this they would just add a different suit with a different color pom. So the original item keeps it's rarity or whatever, but new people who want to dress like a moogle still get the chance.

I think exclusive items should remain exclusive. As much as I like the moogle attire, I think it'll be a bit unfair if I was able to get it without actually being there for the event, or paying for it at the time it was active. That's just my opinion though.
I'll never understand the mentality of barring someone access to items somehow increasing enjoyment. If people are willing to pay for 2yr old cosmetic items, let them. Exclusive items obtained outside of the game are generally a bad idea imo for an MMO.
Knowing you worked for/took the $$$ plunge and got something declared exclusive makes it more special. Honoring that exclusivity shows loyalty to long-term customers.

Doesn't this argument evoke the same entitlement people who oppose exclusivity are often criticised for? Not that I care one way or another, personally. I just find it a little odd you'll see people decry others as "just wanting everything because you think you deserve it (i.e. special)" only to defend their position by saying "I want it to be special."
