Riding & Races

Dear Design Team,

While riding around on my various mounts, I have noticed a slight disparity between the Miqo'te and both the Hyur and Elezen females. No, I don't mean the overall appearance, we know the Miqo'te were given that surpassing cuteness, I refer to the style in which they ride. Why have you subjected us Miqo'te ladies to riding in the same style as our male counterparts, yet both the Hyur and Elezen have understood that maintaining one's modesty while in skirt or dress is best performed while sitting aside? Are we not so concerned with that? Is there something else that separates us from our Hyur and Elezen female counterparts?

I consider there to be two reasons for such:

1. The in-game culture of races. Elezen females are definitely designed to be the most elegant of races. Miqos, as a culture, are more playful and active, often being hunters. This is also evidenced by Highlander females not side-saddling, only Midlanders.

2. To add individuality between races so everything isn't a carbon copy of one another, the same reason why the races have different emotes.

That being said, as for my opinion:
I prefer having only a few races side-saddling. Again, it adds differences between races that are desperately needed, so that Miqos aren't just a Midlander Hyur with different ears and a tail (which they basically are anyway, though).

Also, the side-saddle animation looks abysmal. It looks okay if you're just sitting there, but the actual riding animation is, er, barely an animation. When you compare it to something like TERA's side saddling, which is very fluidly animated, you see just how horrible it is. It's almost an afterthought and I wish more effort was put into it.
