A way to obtain unobtainable minion?

I feel you so much. While I'm slow going with my mount and minion hunting, I do like collecting them and know I'll never have the complete set of everything. I try to look at it as not counting the unobtainable because, well, they're unobtainable.

Pretty much this. It's unfortunate, but that's basically how the hobby of collecting works. There are ways around it, but most people rightfully don't want to do it (e.g. buying an account with said items on it). It's better for everyone to get used to the idea that sometimes, you can't always have everything.

For minions tied to merchandise, I would rather they make the codes reusable (maybe account wide, but that;s unlikely) as opposed to having an expiration date. Over having them just on Mog Station.

I have no idea for the LE minions.

But the orig ARR sightseeing entries have been reduced to 20 along with the 42(?) HW entries. Neither achievement lists this minion.

Hopefully someday they'll either make something similiar to FFXI Rainbow Mog Pell that they sold with their last soundtrack. Where you can trade it in for a previous code item bonus. Would be a great thing on the Mogstation for $10 to trade to the calamity salvager for any of the previous Code Items/one time only event items

Something tells me that it might be better served as an attachment to all future merchandise instead of on Mog Station

I think the opposite. Some people aren't going to want to fork over more money for the merchandise just so they can get the code. Also those who are going to buy the merchandise the a secondary code for older items isn't a make or break deal. This way they can keep pumping out new codes for those merchandise that will just get added on later to their Mog Station item. They can double dip money wise and make both types of consumers happy. The only one's who won't be happy are the same people who cry that their shouldn't be a cash shop in a sub based game.

It's similiar to Fanfest. Those who wanted to go wasn't going to not go if they didn't get any type of ingame bonus code. Those who didn't go wouldn't of all of a sudden went just for the bonus code. This allowed SE to offer it as part of the stream that was for $20 that allowed for more people to purchase that

I see, but then you woul have to ask if this wouden't devalue the merchandise in some way or another.

Sigh. I understand this so much. I'm an avid minion collector as well (165 currently), third on my server actually for minions and mounts. But, because when I first started I didn't know about the Dalamud minion that's something I'll never have. Not to mention, somehow, I missed getting the Brickman minion.

SE, I think after a year of a minion being in circulation it should be put up in the cash shop please!!!
