I think the multiple class requirements are just to give a final fantasy tactics feel to unlocking jobs and to make sure that someone who has unlocked the job has a sufficient pool of abilities to choose from to perform that job. Like we see in the game now, your ability to tank increases greatly if you've aquired skills not just from Gladiator but also from Marauder and Pugilist. Having this additional requirement forces ppl to learn some of these skills so they'll be less gimp at doing what the job is intended to do.

I stopped reading when you gave Samurai to Gladiator, at lest the jobs they made up make more sense. I've give SAM to LNC, polearm skill check, tp machine check. Why SAM to GLA, because SAM has a katana, thats a type of sword and bam then Gla has it? I'm not really mad, i just feel like people don't even think. The job of a class should make sense in some way. Gla has nothing to support a katana user, skill set wise.

Sure, then when u level up red mage, u are leveling 3 classes?

is not about requeriments, they said if u level your job, u are leveling your class too.. so how can u implement multiclass requeriment... for example

You gain 1000 exp with your RDM job.. wich class will get these 1000exp?

Ok lets fix it with a base class:

You are CON50 only, and RDM require con30 thm30 gla15 and uses CON as base... then when u level up thm to 30 and gla to 15 and... u will have a RDM50!!

and if someone have THM50 instead of CON he will have RDM30... wtf

So why i will get 2 jobs at 50 leveling only 1 class? no sense.

Only way for this to work is that at lvl 30 they allow u change your class for job, then every new job on that class will start at lvl 30. What happens now? We have classes at 50... not jobs, so what to do with all these exp points we learned from 30 to 50?

    Posible solution:

You are CON50 -> You now are WHM50 and CON30 (lvl max for classes: 30)

SE announces Time Mage -> You finish quest and u will be TMG30

Problems: too much people leveling from 30 to 50 and only classes leveling 1 to 30. Hard to find partys at low level.

Best solution: Just rid of classes, and convert them into jobs, and new jobs starts from lvl 1.

what? class level=job level. If you are exping on a job, the exp goes to your class, which is shared with your job. No one knows how the 2 classes= one job will work. They stated it as an idea, it was not something they said was set in stone. Why do you people over complicate things?

It's not too difficult to balance.

If RDM is introduced, and has pre-reqs for both CNJ and THM 30 (or 20), when you unlock the Job you can apply the Job stone to it on both classes. It's spell arsenal consists of both THM and CNJ spells (up to level 30) and unique spells post-30. Thus it doesn't matter which class you use to switch into it, as it's essentially the same Job on both. Similarly, the EXP you obtain goes into the Class that you used to switch into RDM.

If there's more pre-reqs aside from CNJ and THM, they can be "second-tier" classes that can not change into the Job, but are required to obtain some proficiency in, say, sword and shield.

Then, each Class has a Job that is unique to it and a Job that is shared between two(or more) Classes.

    Examples: MRD+LNC=>SAM. PGL+GLA=>THF/NIN. CNJ+THM=>RDM. ARC+"beastmaster"=>RNG(traps).
