Anyone play here from Australia/NZ and if so which server do you find fits the time zone best?
I'm from NZ and I was wondering if there was anyone else in my neck of the woods.

Tonberry is riddled with Aussies. It's the more populated of the two unofficial oceanic servers, from what I can gather, and you'll more than likely have to use a server transfer to bypass the new character restrictions it has most of the time (other than transfer, try early mornings or right after a maint. This site can help: http://www.world-alerts.com/)
Keep in mind it's on a Japanese data-center, so even though a large portion of the server is English the Duty Finder is mostly JP - this has yet to hinder my own gameplay and you'll normally find at least 1 person willing to help translate. I learnt Midas on release day with no problems via the DF.

Yeah, Tonberry is pretty much the unofficial Australian/NZ/Oceanic/South Pacific/English-speaking SE Asian server from my understanding. Apparently Masamune also has an Aussie population, but I have no idea how big it is.
Incidentally I'm Australian myself (Perth, WA) but I play on Balmung to be closer to online friends and family (specifically my bf who is in the US), and I have no real problems with time zones and finding people for events and stuff. But that might just be because Balmung has such a huge population anyway so it makes it easier to find people normally.
skip tonberry and go masamune the more low key aussie server though manymany jp people here but some nice eng people too![]()

Forgot to reply to this thread. XD Thanks for the answers! So, it looks like Tonberry or Masamune are the two Australian/DU servers. Are either of them more roleplay orientated?

I wouldn't say either of them are very roleplay-oriented, Balmung is the big RP server but unfortunately that's a US server
