The pointless running after the stupid egg that rarely stopped for even the 10s required to cast the item on it. Even if it stops at your feet it can be for less than 10s. Oh, & the spriggan counting where the colours were so close as to make it difficult to tell the difference. Joy. >.>

Not paying any attention to seasonal events, tabbing out of the game in the middle of Gridania and hear a weird noise, tab back in, and there's a giant egg rolling by and I have no idea what is going on.

Event quests cannot be completed after the run date. It says so on the event pages, and I think in the quest log.
