Question about the JP forums...

I am not at all knowledgeable or fluent in Japanese, so when I look through the JP forums, I have to use Google to translate the whole page.

Looking at their forums, there is separate area in their equivalent of the Community Forums that is called この装備を武具投影したい！which Google translates to I want this equipped with armor projection! and it seems to be full of threads that are about what they want for glamour and their thoughts on current glamour items.

So I am wonder, does the JP server have an entire section of their forums dedicated to what they want for glamour while the rest of us don't?

Well, the usual go to answer for that is its easier for devs to insta-reply to JP topics, rather than waiting for ours to be translated etc

But coming from XI after 11ish years, its common knowledge that to SE, JP are their playerbase, the rest of the world is just cash. You can see this happen when our side of the forums talks about something and nothing gets done unless the JP side mentions it too. Another example being in XI a poll from years ago on what bst pet to add. NA's won, but they decided to add JP's instead.

They appear to have two extra subsections in their community section that the English, German, and French don't. One for glamour suggestions and one for UI layout suggestions. Why they aren't available on other languages' forums is a mystery to me.

I also noticed that some of the locked threads were locked because they was already a thread about the subject and the moderator placed a link to that thread...

Because we create about 50 threads on the same subject, vs about 2-3 for them. Its a lot easier for the mods to handle.

There are only about 2400 threads in the JP General Discussion. There are 34000 threads in the NA General Discussion.

Couldn't that because of something as simple as them not going on the official forums as much as the NA/EU playerbase? I hear they have 2chan or whatever, their version of Reddit? Not too sure but take a look at their general discussion, the last reply on the first page was made on the 19th, while on our forum it was made today. It's not a matter of them keeping it to a few threads, it's just that they don't browse the forums as much from what I can tell.

Unrelated, but a quick glance at their forum tells me that they're against the 7-Eleven promotion too, and are also asking for it to go on the Mogstation so it might actually happen.
