Which is another reason why I'll never have every job at level 60 lol... Took all 22 jobs in FFXI to level 99, and only used three of them (COR > NIN > WHM). Not going that route with XIV; only the jobs I'll play/use.Grinding is a huge reason people get so numb with player interaction over time.
As you can level everything on one single character, you get to do a lot of that eventually. Same 15-60s dungeons, hundreds of times.
In the end, you try to do them as efficient as possible. Dungeon entered, head lowered, shoulders relaxed, autopilot on, and hoping you get them done around the magical 20 minutes.

I prefer Doton as my aoe, but I'll use Katon if tank needs to constantly move the mobs around due to mob aoes. Otherwise, it's Kassatsu + Doton for me.

I have Stoneskin with a potency of 9000, so I can tolerate staying and ignoring the insults, especially if I joined as a dps 21 minutes after being in queue. DC Universe has a nicer community.

Found an answer for ya,
if you want respect, don't use the DF ? like come on, it's way out in the open obvious.
Only play with FC members, only play with Linkshell members, get people who are good and stop running with bads (DF).
You're welcome for the solution.
I was called retarded because 1 mob slipped away from my pull at pharos sirius normal.

Are you guys serious? Look at all this shitposting. Someone is upset about a bad experience, whether it's just once or a multitude of times, and you have to go all "You're welcome for the solution" and "don't do DF if you get whiny" blah blah blah. Like really, if you can't be supportive go elsewhere, 'cause all you're doing is enlarging that shitpost count you have on your profile.
I do agree however with a post from another user; This kind of behaviour now perpetuates a 'Don't talk Don't aggro' mentality the more you play. If someone's complaining, try not to involve yourself, because 9/10 times it will come back around to you, no matter how nice you mean something. Eventually, these people won't have as great an experience at making other people's time unhappy and they eventually leave due to boredom. Just don't coddle the behaviour. But sadly yes, I too wonder where all the respect has gone.
Take care, and ignore the rudeness. You'll be stronger for it.

I (very rarely) say anything in dungeons, my way of showing respect to other players is doing my role to the best of my ability and pulling my own weight. I generally will only speak in a dungeon if I am specifically asked a question, i.e. while leveling a healer, tanks have asked me if I mind if they pulled big or healers specifically asking me to pull big when I am tanking. I will respond to that, but not really anything else. If someone is new I will offer them an abridged set of tips based on what they need to know to beat a boss. "Don't stand in this, dps that add when it pops, move here when this happens, win." Something like that.
Sorry, but I have to say this.
Welcome to MMO's. If you can't take it, I recommend removing your chat.
