Rework ilvl?

I honestly thought after the level cap gear would have been reworked a tad. Don't get me wrong I'm happy for the additional gear we got with the expansion... But ilvl has now become a bit silly.
ilvl is about 4 times what the actual level of our characters are. And it's going to become much higher before the next level expansion. Is there anyway to fix this? Does it need fixing in people's opinion?

I don't really see the need to have the ilvl of gear the same as a character's level, or worry if it gets larger and larger. Really all ilvl even is, is a reflection of linear progression. They could remove the ilvl number off gear completely and it wouldn't change anything other than the ability to quickly make judgements as to which gear is numerically better based off of a single number.

Well at the trend they are going at with ilvl jumps, il1865 would be roughly the 18th expansion. If this game survives that long, I'd honestly be impressed :P
