This is hardly the case unless you allow it to happen due to tunnel visioning or recklessly picking medals up. First death drops 50 medals, thats only enough for 1 stack. If you do a complete party wipe on the enemy team, they each drop 50, totaling up to 600 for a win (and no one ever goes above a stack). If you kill the same person twice, they drop 25 medals on their second death, totaling 175 medals on one person if they picked up both instances for two stacks. That's a problem on a non-tank (which is why I disagree with the change to begin with), but at the same time, a tank scoffs off a 30% damage penalty. Or someone else picks up the medals and they get no stacks because the first threshold is at 150 medals. If you were evenly distributing out the medals, it wouldn't get so far out of hand that you'll become a high profile target, even 1 stacks on a non-tank is manageable, provided they aren't doing something stupid like B4B.

While the competitive nature of feast is a joke for other reasons, DotA gives a massive gold reward (and a massive gold loss for the person that dies). It still becomes a high stake game if you manage to flunk up due to the longer respawn times at your level and the massive gold payout to the other team.
