That's the entire point of heavy medal though; you don't want to encourage the other team to stack all the medals on one player. That's just going to allow for A: the stacks to pile up and B: For a single death be all that much more detrimental due to the value lost. Even against a 4 stack tank (which only takes 200 medals, or 2 kills on different players) is still quite a lot to burst down, espesically if they're in tank stance and the enemy's healer is still alive. That's not even mentioning off you're focusing entirely on their tank and their dps is allowed freely practice their dark dividends, even if you do use LB haphazardly.

At the same time, even 2 stacks turns your dps into such a squishy target, it gives Issac Clark a run for his money on just how easily gibbed you are. It was a change that unnecessarily affected non-tanks, and hasn't put much burden on tanks to begin with until they reach that 9 stacks.

But even at 2 stacks, an LB by itself is not lethal provided you have proper precautions on everyone. It's like any other non-LB burst.

The point was to stop tanks from hoarding them all, not act like a permanent handicap to allow the other team to win. I have so many matches where my groups destroys the enemy team but due to how long each match is the game it gives them culling time to try to take back the medals they lost. I understand the reason for this system but atm its being abused as a last min win against a slightly better team. Its punishing teams that barely get an advantage in a fight against a group of similar skill and just allows them a huge time window to try to take it back. By the end the healer is pry out of mp and we have no way to stop the damage increases on our guys.

The heavy medals buffs currently are not fair to the better teams. I understand you have to spread the medals out to reduce the chance of one target being super squishy but then it just makes EVERYONE on the team weaker to damage and as a blm/mch/brd/smn you dont want to be even squishier then you are before just because your team was better. That is not a fair system to allow the other team a handicap, its just not.

Just give us a lvl 60 wolfs den if SE wants it to be faster. Not this medal bullshit that is horribly handicapping a better team.

Competitive....... HA! I dont see DoTa giving the losing team 50k free gold to try to make a comeback.

This is hardly the case unless you allow it to happen due to tunnel visioning or recklessly picking medals up. First death drops 50 medals, thats only enough for 1 stack. If you do a complete party wipe on the enemy team, they each drop 50, totaling up to 600 for a win (and no one ever goes above a stack). If you kill the same person twice, they drop 25 medals on their second death, totaling 175 medals on one person if they picked up both instances for two stacks. That's a problem on a non-tank (which is why I disagree with the change to begin with), but at the same time, a tank scoffs off a 30% damage penalty. Or someone else picks up the medals and they get no stacks because the first threshold is at 150 medals. If you were evenly distributing out the medals, it wouldn't get so far out of hand that you'll become a high profile target, even 1 stacks on a non-tank is manageable, provided they aren't doing something stupid like B4B.

While the competitive nature of feast is a joke for other reasons, DotA gives a massive gold reward (and a massive gold loss for the person that dies). It still becomes a high stake game if you manage to flunk up due to the longer respawn times at your level and the massive gold payout to the other team.
