Diabolos is dead, what's the most active/most populated server?

I'm a bit tired of looking for ppl to run old content/pony farm/alex farm...

Most of the times there are no groups around, and if there are some, they either want you with God gear (220+) or they just sell the runs for gil...

I'm really planning to move to a new server, with a better community, with FCs willing to help their members...

If you look at the "Regarding Character Creation Restrictions" news posts, the servers that stay perpetually closed to character creation are the ones with the highest pops.
Tho I vote for balmung, cause balmung is fun

It's all the matter of being online at the right time. I'm on the Diabolos server and I don't think it's dead. Pony farms still be on the party finder and I get why some groups want ppl with God gear (lol) because they want the fights to be shorter and easier (unsynced for the win!). Instead of finding a farming group, why not form your own?


Besides that, I hope you find a good server with a lot of players that's willing to help you to fulfill your wishes.

Diabolos is the furthest thing from dead- last I checked we were in the medium population server list, which imo is the best type. I absolutely hate high/full servers. As Dreamangel mentioned its about being on at the right times and/or making a group of your own. I have never (EVER) since the launch of 2.0 had problems finding groups for anything on Diabolos. Also I hate to break it to you but, every server is going to have those "God gear" people who are selling runs for gil, if anything, on larger population servers- it's (probably) worse.

We have an estimate done on Reddit back in January. Unlike the official one, this focuses on only active players based on what mounts/minions they have. It's fairly comprehensive. https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...dated_jan_9th/

Diabolos has almost 17,000 active players. So it's far from dead, OP. That said, you'll probably have more fun on Gilgamesh or Balmung. While the latter is heavily roleplay centric, the casual pace of players generally means you'll see a lot more farm parties.

Any server you move to is going to have a variety of nice people and assholes just like the one you're already on.

Was gonna say, last I checked Diabolos and Sargatanas were pretty comparable and Sarg is far from dead.

Medium-population servers ftw! Plenty of players without the login queue and town lag.

Pretty much this. If you aren't on at peak times for your server, that may be why you feel it's dead.
