I think youre missing my point. Im not talking about the game now with extreme modes and people being kicked for not doing the job right. Im talking about what this game could become if it becomes ruled by addons. People who dont run any I hope wont be segregated because the people who dont run addons can do just as good a job as those that do use addons.

This game is fine the way it is without addons, that was my opinion and I hope that it stays that way because I detest addons. But again thats my opinion, its not shared by everyone which i respect.

I don't think that would happen, quite honestly. In WoW, no one gets kicked from LFR for not having DBM, and I can't really think of any addon FF would need that would end up becoming a requirement like many of the things WoW raiding guilds require. I mean, boss abilities are pretty straightforward and red zones show when something is about to strike, so that cuts out DBM. Nobody really requires DPS meters, I don't see a necessity for a threat warning addon except for tanks themselves, and healing assistance addons aren't really needed either.

WoW had that "You need [x] addon before you can raid with us" bump because addons became a crutch out of necessity. The way FF's boss fights are done is very different and doesn't call for anything like that.

And sorry for double post (stupid character limit) but I'd like to re-iterate a previous post. People seem to be focusing on combat addons in this thread and immediately casting out addons based on that alone.

There's so many more things that can be done with addons, like UI improvements, RP profiles, map waypoints for logs, quest completion tracker, gear set drop locations, a better dressing room, etc.

The other thing I would really love to have. The UI in this game with the lack of ability to fine tune it is a point of anger for me.

Also you can get around the character limit by editing your post.

DPS queues can get pretty long.
