The community was already toxic to begin with, its human nature, feature set of a game never changes the human trait.

They already said that if we do get an API, it's going to be cosmetic modifications only. There's zero reasons not to have it implemented it already, unless they have a parity deal with Sony or something.

Games that existed before add-ons were objectively more friendly though. There has always been toxicity in playerbases, but the mandatory drive of add-ons and parsers have made it worse in modern MMOs. In my opinion, add-ons are one of the single worse things to ever come to gaming, but I come from a time before such things existed so I may just be having a "good ol' days" nostalgic moment.

I will be honest and say that before the internet became more mainstream then yes, things were more friendly but once more households got access to the internet, thats when games became more toxic, the feature set of a game didn't change the human mind set.

Er. We're supposed to be getting instanced housing in 3.3, no?

Its always funny how people think addons or feature sets in games changes people, thats not too dissimilar about how some news articles think video gaming can make people violent, people can be dicks to begin with and have no social capacity, addons do not cause that.

Pretty much the question like I asked in the opening post was, what could this be, this seems more like a sony issues then a specific console, DPS meter aside, what could be stopping the PS4 from running action bar addons or addons like weakaura, something is up and its not just PS3 can't handle it.

I like how they say "PlayStation". It's pretty clear it's not the PS3 in particular when it comes down to UI additions. It's consoles in general.

They couls not even add tp bars without "deleting" (party stat buffs) somethting from the UI. I wonder how they will phrase it next time.

I was more referring to you categorically calling our community toxic. Certainly there's some toxic individuals, but the community as a whole is actually pretty friendly. There's far worse out there, mostly on games with a heavier emphasis on PvP aspects.
