WoW didn't get terrible until they implemented the duty finder. When you have to walk half way across the world to get in a dungeon with 4 other people who will still be in your party when you exit, you tend to be more civilized.

This is quite true. The addition of LFG and LFR did far more damage to the community than any addon ever had, or will. When you have to rely on a closed population, you had to keep your reputation up and create a network. We knew who could perform well, who could CC like a champ, who could DPS without being pants-on-head stupid, who ninja'd loot, and who were reasonable people to group with. When in LFG, more people couldn't give a rat's ass about their behaviour since it it wasn't likely that you would run into the same people on your battlegroup (server cluster).

Both, because it's got nothing to do with the actual hardware and everything to do with how Sony allows DLC to be distributed. You can't just go click on a website, download and install it. It would have to be obtained through the Playstation store.

The problem is not the consoles, it's the issue of getting the add-on onto the consoles (currently only through Sony). Because the distribution process is so bureaucratic, it would result in people simply not replicating their PC add-on to the Sony platforms and we would have disparity between users because they do not have access to "necessary" add-ons for high level play.

If you got kicked, its more to the fact you did something wrong on a boss fight, people do not know if you have an addon installed or not, and if a group on pf stated you needed said addon but you decided to join anyways ignoring the group leaders request, thats your own fault for not respecting the party leader.

I don't think this will happen. And if it does, it won't be a common occurrence. I'm on PS4 and have been on different servers and never seen a group exclude Playstation players. They're there, yes, but in small numbers. I believe the same will be true of those who use add-ons. A very large percentage of FFXIV's community is on PS3 or PS4 and wouldn't be able to run them. You'd quickly find that recruiting players that meet such a specific requirement would be so exclusionary that it might not benefit you at all, especially in situations where you lack a healer or tank for a static run. That's a comparatively small pool of people to pick from as it is. Requiring that they be on PC and have a specific add-on would only make it smaller.

And most of the kicking in this game is done through mistakes, and a lot of people tend to be more strict when it comes to at least extreme mode content or raids, which is true for other mmos out there, also you have only seen it in other mmos? So you have never actually experienced this? People get kicked because its usually warranted, people usually have to do something wrong for this to happen, addons do not cause that.
