Can buy the OSTs direct from Japan. I found an eBay seller who put pre-orders down for itwhat?? "EU gets it, we will as well." then where the FF14 SOUNDTRACK BLU-RAY MUSIC DISC we can't buy it from "EU region Store"
yes I know we can get it from somewhere else but still you ashamed to be Australian??? SE is robbing us blind here AUS & NZ
ff type 0 AUS $199
ff 14 heavensward collector's edition AUS $299
FF14 monthly fee 30 day $19. Got it a week after release with shipping, they sent it on the day it came out.
Are they forcing you to play? Currency exchange is never a fun thing but it's something we live with in the world. there are many websites for all these things you don't have to buy direct from SE.what?? That's the thing, they aren't even considering us. Pretty much you don't like it then well quit which most people here are whining about and ones who don't even care enough to post will quit.
Seems like an extremely double edged blade for a promotion to try earn money, alienating a large population of their player database in the process.
I don't know how many players exactly play in Oceania but if someone does and do the math, it's obvious they're making a huge marketing error.
Don't know how business is conducted on your side of the world but customer satisfaction and positive product reputation is vital in Australia. Most of us are not going to continue paying for something/people who offer services with no consideration to the customer.

That Fat Chocobo though isn't based on the vanilla one, oh no, it's the Parade Fat Chocobo you get for getting 3000 comms only painted white. >w>
They should have had a plan in place so the items could be made across all regions simultaneously before rolling out the promotion (or you know, NOT make the items a promotional exclusive in the first place)A promotion that big would have to be Disney level popularity in order to survive in the NA marketplace. The marketing team will have to devise another plan in order to find a way to make this promotion work, thus that's why they added in the live letter that they are discussing possibilities of bringing the content to the west.
I got it from cdjapan + EMS about 6200 yen = $73
No they not forcing me to play. don't get me wrong I love all final fantasy series and FF14 as I said before I know we can get it from somewhere.
It would be nice to have AUS/NZ fanfest not just JP/NA/EU

That has nothing to do with SE and everything to do with our federal government and all their inane taxes, charges and tarrifs they levy on everything - from customs imports to warehousing to the point of sale. SE has no control over that. And although I cannot give any explanation as to why the European SE site does not allow Australians to purchase merchandise and only games (although I suspect again taxes, Australian import laws, licensing and censorship classification has something to do with it), as others have said, there are plenty of other places to get the soundtracks online instead of using the SE store - in fact, here's an online store where I have purchased my own copies of the FFXIV soundtracks from (along with the artbook), and they even automatically adjust prices into Australian dollars for you.what?? But then I guess it's much easier to sit and whine and attack SE *rolls eyes*.
It has everything to do with them. It doesn't take a highly educated marketing team to consider, hey let's make a marketing promotion that alienates a large population(guessing over 60% outside JP) of our player database, that doesn't sound like a great plan! That has nothing to do with SE and everything to do with our federal government and all their inane taxes, charges and tarrifs they levy on everything - from customs imports to warehousing to the point of sale. Marketing 101 is considering your customers and who uses your product. Unless there's some financial backlog that suggests Japanese customers definitely will fork out enough money more than the receptive excluded focus groups after promotions said and done, I don't see how it's logical to even have this promotion exclusion when they could've just slapped the items on the Mogstation and only suffer the usual banter.

I don't know how these threads go so long without any sort of sense being made.
They very clearly stated that they are working on ways to bring it to the other regions. They are already in talks with probably 7-11 in other countries to have the same thing wherever you are.
The "sky is falling but I'm too lazy to actually read anything about what's really going on so I'm just going to scream and scream and scream" mentality this forum has going for it is really pathetic.
