If the players don't find any find in the legitimate way SE has designed the game I would look for ways to improve their experience so they don't feel the need to buy gil to have fun instead of simply blaming everything on them and pretend the game is fine. The simple glamours don't cost millions if you buy or gather the raw materials and find a crafter to make it for you. Some people just can't be bothered to do even that and would rather cheat. This causes unproductive people to have the buying power of a veteran crafter. Because of the increased amount of capable buyers the items that are listed for a reasonable price sell extremely fast, leaving only the high priced ones. That becomes the new typical price. It means legitimate players have to work even harder to be able to buy what they want. RMT abusers are to blame for the huge prices and they deserve no sympathy for their "temptation". Ban them all, I say!

Somehow I doubt they have zero legitimate ways to obtain glamours. Are you saying it's impossible to find crafters to craft things for you somehow? Then how did the glamours end up on the MB? Someone is clearly able to make them.
We have Gold Saucer gear, dungeon gear, starting gear, seasonal gear, normal raid gear, trial weapons, fate gear, tomestone gear, quest reward gear, Novice Hall gear, hunt token gear, Grand Company gear, pvp gear and even Mog Station gear easily obtainable for people who want to dress fabulous without much effort. Crafted glamour gear is the only gear on top of savage and relic gear that is difficult to obtain. What do expect SE to do to improve the experience of gil buyers? Let people get every glamour (instead of almost every glamour) in the game without the help of crafters and make crafting irrelevant in the process? How about no.
The gil buyers are the reason we get spammed and they also contribute to sky high prices. I don't see why we should worry about their play experience when they are in their greed actively making it worse for themselves but also for others for the sake convenience.

True but as pointed out when people buy gil they are more willing to pay the over priced goods which in turn have people selling it post for insane amounts as well. If RMT was gone eventually people would have to keep dropping prices till it either finally sells or it gets so over saturated with items they have no choice but to lower to beat out everyone else who is selling.

I generally choose to not buy the glamour even though I REALLY wanted it. That said, I've seen an item go from 2mil to like 100k over the course of a few months. It was the same sell, too, so I guess it wasn't selling faster than intended.

The war againt RMT bots is a never ending fight.. Heck even WoW who has been there more than any sub game cant erradicate them, in the end u just live with it and blacklist them everynow and then.
Fun fact that i never or rarely ever i guet a pm from a bot, like once every 2 weeks or so
Honestly there's no point blacklisting them. The account that's messaging you will be deleted in a day's time and then it'll just be taking up space on your blacklist. Just set yourself to /busy.
That's not true AT ALL. I have deleted people who I blacklisted before Christmas and started receiving Christmas sale RMT spam almost immediately.
Look, I get what you all are saying, but I'd rather blacklist ever spammer I see than block tells. I get spam tells so god damn much that if I were to have a chat log especially for tells I would have to scroll through it several times a minute. This means that if I were to get a useful tell, for the FC, a friend, someone who needs help, whatever, it would probably go unnoticed. I'm on a relatively small server and still have received 3 tells in a row and receiving ~9 in less than a few minutes. I can't scroll through a tell chat log every single minute I get a tell. Again, I would rather blacklist every spammer I get then have to filter out tells that may actually be beneficial to me or them.

Give us filters so we can only get tells from friends or who ever we choose
