Report him. Parsers are against the TOS, though SE doesn't do anything about them unless people report the users. This guy was using one AND using it in an improper manner. No, we don't need a parser.
Just yesterday i was in a Ravana farm group. We did well, ignored the add phase, downed him quite fast. After the first down the party leader told one of the DPS that his DPS was too low and we could clear it 10 seconds faster. This was followed by a kick. I then left too, as i can't stand that kind of attitude. I also blacklisted said partyleader and i once in a while check his farm progress. He still hasn't his pony and i hope it stays that way.
I just throw it to the dps highest on the enmity list or if they are all the same I give it to the job that is "supposed" to be on top like DRG, MNK or BLM...but then again it doesn't bother me all to much and in 8 man groups it's more useful to go for a spread anyways...
Faulty logic is faulty. How would adding an official parser change the party leaders behavior in the above instance at all? It might have actually helped the party member in question since they would have been able to better defend themselves. Also, calling someone out for low DPS isn't proof of a parser, soooooo.....No, we don't need a parser.

They had no other way of knowing that that specific DPS was not performing optimally, it could've been another dps, but they pointed out that specific player. The enmity list isn't a good judge either as it's not a viable measure of someone's DPS due to abilities like quelling strikes. Adding an official parser would cause situations like these to become more common. While I am not against their use to improve performance, it is a tool that is too likely to be abused and already is in the current way players have it. When suggesting something, something that should always be thought about is "How will players abuse this?"Faulty logic is faulty. Just because the enmity list is a terrible way to judge DPS doesn't mean that the tool of a party leader didn't use it to guess at the guy he dismissed being low. Or maybe he just wanted to invite a friend and needed a scapegoat. People can make up bullshit about anythingP, doesn't mean they have proof (parser). The only way to know he wasn't talking out of his ass would be to have parser results. I'm sure there are plenty of tards that claim to have 5000 DPS just because calling them on their crap would result in a ban most likely.
The answer is simple: Everything can be abused: it's not our fault if we can find ways to exploit the mechanics of something. It's SE's job to make it work properly without being potentially abusive.
In another thread about the parser, I said that thinking how something can be potentially abusive won't improve the game: people already do their worst on this matter. And I'm sorry but in order to improve your game experience you HAVE to take risks, you HAVE to try it out before even saying "It will be abused".
....and even then you'll still find people who will most likely abuse anyway. Should we get everything removed because it can be potentially abused?
An example? Item level. You gotta have X amount of ilvl to enter said dungeons or said raid. Your dps might be bad but hey, as long as you're full 230 it doesn't matter: you are, by Item level standards, superior to that 200 dps who can dish out the same dps as you do. That's not what item level is for but yet, it's abused.
The recent SSS addition: I saw messages of people requiring you to beat "Insert boss" dummy in order to beat it. And even then, you might not have the required Item level because "you might be bad", yet you can beat the dummy just fine (heck maybe the 230 can't even do it). Still, no can do: you didn't kill the dummy so you're out, which it's not its original intentions.
Housing can be abused: the way they implemented the private housing, it's not a surprise if people will jump on it. The idea was simple and definitely worth applying, but it was abused because of "noticeable gaps" and flaws in planning. I like that they at least experimented with it but still, it's a victim of abuse.
Trading can be abused: just trade whenever someone is teleporting, and they won't be able to move. That's abuse to my eyes since...you know, you can't even teleport!
Being able to queue in group for most roulettes: it can potentially be abused by making a 3-player group kick the 4th one, and let him jump in. I'm glad this is now a thing because now I can play with my friends. And no, I don't abuse this system but hey, it can be abused...but I'm sure you don't see many abusing it right?
And my favourite of all: chat box can be abused....just spam by copying and pasting something and voila, you're abusing the chat box! Sure this was changed and whenever you talk too often (even normally), you'll see a message in red. But still it can be abused despite the modification. I'm sure you know of swearing and bad languages...oh but there's blacklist!
Still, the same person can go on alt and continue doing the same...is even alt making abused?
There are dozens, if not hundreds of things that can be abused, but saying it won't make the game better. SE should try to put it in, see how it works out and, if the situation becomes bad, they can always remove it. Saying that it can be abused won't save us from abuse: we ALREADY have abusive players, we ALWAYS had them, we will ALWAYS have them.
Parser isn't going to be the first, nor the last thing being victim of abuse.

No idea how it works. Can you throw it on multiple people like peotect? Or is the CD too high?
Enmity is a fairly reliable way to gauge single target dps for non tanks. You just have to keep in mind that summoners and machinist will be a bit better than what's shown due to splitting hate with their pet/turret.
Lol, yeah, no. As people have already pointed out, there are tons of skills that modify enmity. Not to mention things like AOE. If I multidot and AOE in something like A2 for instance and the other DPS are using single target rotations they'll be ahead of me on the enmity list for quite a few enemies but I'll be killing them in DPS.
