Where do YOU use Spirits Within, Tempered Will?

Tempered Will is good for Ravana's ability Pillars of Heaven.

Spirit's Within is a horrible, horrible skill. The animation is too long and with the way effects only trigger after animation has completed rather than when the animation shows a hit, it's not truly "instant". Plus the Silence lasts like a second. The damage is never 100% if you are tanking because you're always below 100% HP.

To be honest, I don't even bother trying to use it as an interrupt. I try to use it to help create some kind of burst. I have it hotbared to cast whenever it is off cooldown to the same button as Fast Blade. So I'll often open with Shield Lob, two flashes, Spirits Within and then go into one of the combos.

Tempered Will is rarely ever used. Knockback, Blind and Heavy aren't exactly common and when it does appear, it rarely plays into any kind of mechanic where it will doom the party if the tank is knockbacked. The cooldown is also pretty long. I generally don't even bother unless it's something like Demon Wall where it makes life a little easier.

Tempered Will:

1. Singularity Reactor during the knockback phase.
2. M4 when they combine in to Brute Justice.
3. A3 during the large hand phase when it does the knockback.
4. Ravana if I mess up and can't get to a wall.

Spirits Within I use on CD for the extra bit of damage.

You can Spirits Within the big pudding adds when they cast Mucilage in A3S.
Same with High Voltage in Coil Turn 1 & Turn 2.

99% of the time it's a dps move.

I use tempered will in Titan Ex when he does his stomp knockback. I just stay in front of him and continue wacking away. Not needed, but doesn't hurt. Also can be used in neverreap last boss.

Also, when i'm just running around and for some reason i have aggro on a random trash chasing me that puts heavy on me, I use tempered will so i can just continue on my way. Though... nothing more frusturating than using it to rid yourself of heavy, to then be heavied again with the next attack that hits you.... ._.

spirits within, the only one I can think of off the top of my head is mirka hunt. We forgot it was silence and tried to stun him.... very bad time was had until we learned the error of our ways.
