Past Seasonal Event Items

So... I don't know if anyone is annoyed by this, but I don't like how this year's Hatching-tide event didn't return with a way to obtain the Egg Floor Lamps from last year. And I get that SE/FFXIV/whoever that's in charge of marketing for this game can probably put it up on the Mog Station and make it a cash shop item, but at the same time that could be a bit... <insert word>.

Regardless, if it does or doesn't turn into a cash shop item, it would be nice to still obtain some of the previous items in past seasonal events some how. I know people have their various reasons for missing events, but for those of us who like to do these events and obtain stuff from it, it's sad to see them not return after thinking we could obtain it the next time around. For some of us, we probably thought this would be a recurring pattern, but alas, it is not...

I can however understand these kinds of decisions made in game developing though. It creates a sort of uniqueness to the previous obtain items in the past, the lack of abundance draws, the hope of possible past things returning... And then, turning around to find out it doesn't return and watch the prices of the past seasonal event items go to skyrocket prices on the marketboard...

If it does become a cash shop item, I wouldn't mind supporting that decision. Ironic that you would have to pay for furniture to for a game as you would in real life, but... as long as SE/FFXIV makes a profit would mean more stuff for us right?

All I'm just saying is... I want my egg lamps!
