    Are there consequences for being frequently kicked?

    I would like to know, since this applies to me. I've been a player since February 2015, playing FFXIV through 3 characters. For several months, since July, I've been servinv in AmeriCorps, so I had to leave home for 10 months. I play FFXIV on PS4, so with PSVita's remoteplay, I've been able to stay as an active player. The problem comes when I'm running a dungeon and the screen suddenly becomes a pixelated mess and I lose connection with the PS4. When this happens, it'll appear like I'm standing still, while I try to get back into the game. This has happened quite a few times and players have removed me for appearing to be AFK. Not only that, but even at home, I would get error 90002, due to our bad internet. Is there a penalty for getting kicked a number of times? I'd hate to get banned over situations out of my control. Plus, if there is something, is it account-wide, meaning it tallies on all 3 characters?

    There is only a penalty if you leave a full party without getting kicked.

    There is no (known) punishment for being repeatedly kicked from dungeons, as that could lead to disaster with unjust kicking.

    As far as I know GMs don't even look over a vote kick unless the person kicked files a report that it was a false kick, so, you're fine.

    The only penalty for getting kicked is you can't JIP for a short time afterward.

    Not entirely true. Once being kicked, if you join in progress, you won't be placed back in the same party for a period of time. However you can still JIP to get another party.

    It's possible that a GM might investigate a person who is frequently kicked for reasons of "Harrassment", but if your problem is that you're losing your connection, most likely folks will be kicking you for reasons of "Offline" or "AFK". I wouldn't worry.
