Pirate-like class/job

I know that Marauder is kinda like a pirate class. I was thinking more like the NPC Rostnsthal. He wild a small axe on his side with a musket on the other side like the ones we use on the 1.0 LL story. I, and probably a lot more people, were very excited when we saw that we could wild a gun on 1.0 but it never happened. Now we have machinist but i really dont feel like a small hand gun. The class/job could use an axe for close range and the pistol for mid-ling range. I think it would be very nice if we finally could use those LL pistols that we see every so often.

Although I would absolutely love a duel-wielding Swashbuckler, the game sorely calls for a blunt damage-type job that can synergize with Monk. ...Beastmaster anyone?

At the Marauders guild it looks like there was suppose to be another gun class there. If you look at the symbols, that building is shared by 2 guilds. That could mean maybe another gun class could be brought in. Who knows.

The tower was originally the Musketeers guild that was never accessible to players other than holding a gun for a quick cutscene.
The Marauders guild was on a pirate ship. But the Pirates got the boot or had to clean up their act if they wanted to stay under Merlwyb's law.
So tl;dr: they accommodated each other and are roomies now.


But basically the idea for a Musketeer class seems to be out with window since the Machinist Job took over that idea without ever needing the base class. A cool idea that was probably half finished just thrown out. Very sad, but that's the way game development works sometimes.

Well, Machinists are more like the typical FF Engineer/Puppetmaster, using tools/machines/technology to deal damage and support the party. MCH uses a rifle or long gun, compared to the gun that Mrlywb uses which are pistols and dual wielded.
